Receive Prospective Properties Via Email

Once you have been pre-approved for a loan and know how much you can borrow, you are ready to start shopping! This is the fun part.

First, take a moment to write down all of the things you would like to find in your new home:

What city do you want to live in?

What school district would you like your home to be in?

How many bedrooms and bathrooms would you like?

How much square footage will your ideal home have?

Do you want a pool?

Do you mind if the home backs to a busy street? (some people prefer this to back neighbors peering into their yards)

Do you want to be on a cul-de-sac?

Do you prefer a corner lot or do you not care?

Do you want a one-story or two-story house, and which story do you want the master bedroom on?

Are you willing to purchase a home that needs cosmetic upgrading, or do you want the home to be in move-in condition?

These are just some of the questions you want to ask yourself. You may also have other criteria that is important to you.

Once you have compiled your list, give me a call or send me an email, give me the details, and I will get you set up on an email search on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). This is an automated response system that will send you a link to all homes that meet your criteria. It is great because any time a new home comes on the market, you will be notified. In this system, you are able to identify your favorites, possibilities and rejects, which paints me a picture of the types of homes you like and dislike.

Once you identify some homes that interest you, we get together and start physicallly looking (fun, fun, fun!).
