How to Give Blood or Platelets for Avery!

Want to be an angel to this very special HB Hero? You can help Avery out by giving blood or platelets at CHOC Hospital.

An account has been set up at CHOC Blood & Donor Services. Donations can be made by appointment, by calling (714) 532-8339. Please make sure to let them know that you are donating on behalf of Avery Koland when you make your appointment. Blood and Donor Services is located right across from CHOC hospital, at 505 S. Main St., Ste. 185 in Orange.

You do NOT have to be a match to Avery in order to donate blood or platelets - if it's not a match to her, another child being treated at CHOC will be able to use it - and they currently have a shortage of platelets.

If you do happen to be an exact match, your name will be kept on a list, and you may be called in the future to see if you are able to make additional donations as needed
