Summerfield is a smaller tract made up of approximately 186 homes lying just to the west of the Moffett tract (click this link for map). Its boundaries are Adams (north), Cape Newbury and Southport (south), Newland (east) and North & South New Britain (west).
Summerfield also had 2 phases; the first phase was Summerfield which was built in 1972 (click on model to view floorplans).
Model A, Windsong - 1 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath
Model B, Sunhaven - 1 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath
Model C, Greenleaf - 1 story, 4 bedroom, 2 bath
Model D, Meadowwood - 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath
An additional 10 homes were built 10 years later, in 1982 by the builder Fieldstone. These homes are situated at the end of North New Britain Lane, which is the entrance to the tract off of Adams (click on model to view floorplans).
Model A - 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage
Model B - 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 3 car garage
Approximately 16 out of the 183 homes, or 9% are currently occupied as rentals.
At the south of the tract is Drew Park, which is mostly used by the neighbors inside the tract, but occasionally holds soccer practices.
Rumor has it that the land in Summerfield used to be tomato & vegetable fields, and you could occasionally spot wild red foxes roaming around.
